Learning classical pieces on mandolin can provide huge benefits for players of nearly any genre. The masters of these works incorporated some great musical ideas into their pieces including things like counterpoint (great for harmonies) and motifs (great to keep a song or album together).
In all honesty, I don’t play classical pieces on mandolin too often – but I do love diving into them from time to time. I’ve written a few arrangements for pieces I play and will post them here over time. If you are working on any classical piece for mandolin that you’d like me to write an arrangement for, just Contact Me.
I love the Well Tempered Clavier. I don’t know how well the whole work would translate to mandolin but how great that you’ve done this. I’ll see if I can manage your transcription – Bach is always a challenge. Thanks for giving it out for free, I really appreciate your effort.
